VENICE BIENNALE
2018
The Venice Biennale of Architecture is an international exhibition of architecture held in Venice, Italy, every other year that serves as a prominent cultural platform for architects, designers, and artists to propose and showcase innovative architectural solutions to contemporary societal, humanistic, and technological issues. The Biennale summons a global audience of architects, academics, and enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds and with different traditions and approaches, and fosters the exchange of ideas, perspectives, and best practices in architecture and urban planning through exhibitions, discussions, and events, thereby playing a pivotal role in shaping the discourse on contemporary architecture and urbanism. As a member of the UC San Diego Center on Global Justice, we were honored and selected among other architects, landscape architects, artists, and theorists to represent the US Pavilion at the XVIII Venice Biennale of Architecture.
