CHILE
2008 - 2023
Chile holds a special place in my heart. It's where I forged some of my strongest everlasting relationships, as well as my connection to Mother Earth. I spent most of my teen years in Chile, laughing in tears and crying as well, as I was growing up and getting to know myself better. These were years full of joy and life lessons. But my experiences in Chile didn’t end there, as I returned year after year to reconnect with my friends and discover new frontiers. Chile is the southernmost country in the world, shaped as a long narrow strip of land that runs in between the Pacific Ocean and the Andes. Because of its span and particular geography, Chile has an extremely diverse climate, ranging from the world’s driest desert in the north—the Atacama Desert—to one of the wettest and windiest regions on Earth in the south—Patagonia. This set of images portrays some of my trekking and camping adventures across the ancestral Mapuche rainforests, from waking up to crisp foggy mornings to falling asleep to some of the starriest nights I've ever witnessed.
