ZAMBIA
2022
Zambia is the only African country I've ever visited, and to be honest, the wait was worth every second. Back then, my partner got invited to be part of a jury on a beauty pageant, and I joined her as her plus one. The best part of all? I was treated as a king—flown on first class, hosted in a five-star hotel next to the iconic Victoria Falls, and delighted with every imaginable pleasure. Above all these amenities, being exposed to so many bright, brave and empowering women was an honor that I'll cherish forever. One thing that struck me about Africa? Its breathtaking sunsets. As the sun dips below the horizon, silhouettes of the savannas, wildlife, and traditional villages provide stunning foregrounds for these daily spectacles. The warm, golden light often creates a sense of serenity and awe, making African sunsets a memorable introspective experience. Zambia was also one of my few close-up experiences with wild animals. Being able to observe how each of these creatures behave and interact around humans from up close has been a blessing—an experience that will prevail through generations.
